Cool comparison. I like to use a microwave to par cook potatoes, but need to finish them off in an oven or toaster oven to crisp that skin up a bit and let them vent steam a little more so they aren't gummy (at least 15 min at 450). And think I would go with the cost-effective microwave too.

Love this!! For bacon I use the microwave dish for bacon. It has ridges to lay the bacon on and the plate captures the grease run off. Of course cover the bacon with paper towels too.

Tried the jerk chicken now I have add that to a Sunday dinner on a Sunday.....so far everything I have watch you cook has been a hit with my family and friends... You know have to have that one friend to be your taste buddy....💓💓💓

Love your recipes and I do bbq catering on the side so most of your recipes I cook on my smokers or flat-top griddles.my main job was at a chemical manufacturing plant. Just wanna share a little insight. One of the main reasons people's microwaves go bad is because of using paper towels in them. I know this may seem like bogus info and I know some people gonna look this up but coming from a manufacturing industry that made paper towels it's an untold secret of the business. When you use a paper towel in the microwave the magnetron which produces radiation to cook also releases formaldehyde which is a main ingredient in paper towels and toilet paper and the chemical compound makes the microwave burn out quicker. Just wanna share a little knowledge with you and the followers

I've never used an $80 microwave before I was scared they were gonna blow up on you lol. You should of seen my face when you said them price points (😕) our LG cost us over $400 for it.

I fix potatoes (white o sweet) in the microwave all the time. Put the potato loosely in a Safeway bag without any punctures and ready in 7-9 minutes. Ready for a snack in no time!!

WOW! I did not realize they were that inexpensive now. I recall my folks getting one in 1975 that was over $700.00.

I think appearance wise the more expensive the microwave the better the potato and bacon looked.

This is the easiest quickest lunch I make on the regular. I air fry more now but the microwave is always a good choice.

My microwave is 1800 watt, high quality microwave. How long would you cook a baked potato in it. I usually rehear at 50%. Not that good with a microwave.

if you're going to compare microwaves, you have to compare wattages...more watts = more money....more watts = faster cook times. bacon is usually one minute per strip and some microwaves have a potato function that works well if you set it right. people normally don't put both in at the same time.
